Organic Gardening at Chisholme House
April 11 - April 18

A series of regular garden afternoons and garden weeks are proposed this year.
We also invite you to take part in a new project taking place at Chisholme called ‘Soil to Slice’. It is a pleasure to cooperate this year for the very first time with Scotland the Bread on this project. In the course of this growing season, we will be sowing wheat and rye on a plot in the walled garden with the intention to thresh it, mill it into flour and bake with it later this year. On April 15th, the day of sowing, there will be a small presentation about the project.
The sowing date will be part of the first Garden Week of the year, which is taking place from April 11-18th. This will be in the spirit of planting and sowing seeds, but also exploring the garden as a place of ecological and spiritual education.
We would kindly ask all participants to contribute to the costs of food and accommodation within the realms of their budget.
Our standard rates for full board and food are:
£100 per person for one week (waged)
£65 per person for one week (unwaged, students, low income)
If this fee would be hindering your attendance, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
