‘Rhyze to Morph’ by Nomoss at Wilton Park
Performances at 12pm & 3pm
Join us for a live physical and aural performance, a tale of transformation, of zombie mushrooms and the powerful fungal capabilities to connect, destroy, deconstruct and decompose. An outdoor performance using Butoh dance, evocative and stirring guitar and playful vocals to tell sensory tales of fearless fungi.
“Through Butoh dance, aspects of physical theatre, natural costume, sound and installation, we seek to inspire people to learn about the important and mystical role that fungi play within our natural world and bring attention to the unseen or unnoticed connections to the vital role of minute life.”
Suzi Cunningham, Lucie Yavruturk and Ruairidh Morrison (known as the collective Nomoss) wish to uncover the dark and incredible stories of the fungal connections above and underground of their surrounding homeland of Scotland.
This FREE event is around 40 mins long with an informal optional Q&A discussion at end of performance with Nomoss to learn more about the project.
Meet at the Band Stand.
