Traditional Building Repair & Maintenance – Evening Talk

Many traditional buildings suffer from defects as a result of a lack of maintenance
which left unchecked develop from minor maintenance issues into costly major repair
or rebuilding works . It is not uncommon to only address building defects once they
have a detrimental effect on our quality of life .
Colin Gilmour, Hawick CARS Project Officer, will identify common problems in
traditional buildings and discuss ways of addressing these as well as providing advice
on how to assess your property and set up some regular forms of maintenance.
